The Sleep Support Project is based in Bury, Greater Manchester, able to offer support in-person or remotely across the UK.

Getting Here:

The counselling room is a calm, quiet, private, cosy space centrally located on The Rock in Bury.

Parking:

There are various car parks in the surrounding immediate vicinity, including The Rock multi-storey car park.

Driving:

Nearby access to the M66/M60/M62 motorways.

Public Transport:

Bury Interchange is a few minutes’ walk away for public transport links (Metrolink, Bus, Taxi).

Manchester is only 25 minutes on the tram from Bury, with the Metrolink reaching across most of Greater Manchester.

Health & Safety:

We operate a covid-safe space; the room is cleaned frequently and hand-sanitiser is available for use.

There are bathrooms on each floor of the building.

The building has a secure entry system, entry by appointment only.

Please note that the counselling room is located on the first floor, up one flight of stairs with no lift.  We are able to accommodate accessibility requirements in an alternative location in a dedicated counselling room at Townside Primary Care Centre, Bury, which has a lift and is a fully accessible building.

Nearby areas:

Greater Manchester / Rochdale / Bolton / Ramsbottom / Haslingden / Rawtenstall / Radcliffe / Whitefield / Prestwich / Middleton / Salford areas are some of the nearby accessible locations if driving or using public transport.

Telephone/video sessions:  

All remote sessions via telephone/video take place in a private, confidential space.  If for any reason the call is disconnected, or if there are any technical issues, we will attempt to call back, or will reschedule the appointment.

It is vital that you have access to a private, safe space for any remote session, with access to phone signal for telephone sessions, or internet access for video sessions, and to have access to the relevant technology (eg. telephone or computer).

It is not possible to conduct any counselling session or call if you are driving, even if using hands-free, due to Health & Safety.

Due to confidentiality, please attend sessions without anyone else present.

Please let us know at the time of booking if requiring an interpreter, or for hearing/visual requirements, we will do our best to ensure that counselling sessions can be as accessible as possible.
