What is CBT-i?

CBT-i is a validated approach to managing primary and co-morbid insomnia, with research spanning over 30 years.  It is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which focuses on sleep.

The CBT-i programme focuses on the following areas, supported by the therapist:

  • Exploring the sleep issues, sleep goals and providing emotional support.
  • Sleep hygiene awareness and cognitive behavioural techniques for managing sleep.
  • Keeping a sleep diary and forming a sleep plan.
  • Weekly sleep reviews and problem solving.
  • Preventing relapse and maintaining good sleep.

In addition to CBT-i, we offer counselling support.
